Ahead of our trip to Europe this past July I started researching a few airport lounges to see what they offered and how much they would cost, as I thought it would be a good investment for us since my husband would still need to be working as we were preparing to board.
After some research, I found out about the Plaza Premium Lounges and read good things about the one they had at the International Departures of Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson Airport and thought it would be a good idea to try.
I’m glad to say we were not disappointed!
The food and drink options were very good. In fact, we ate so much (we were there for 3 hours and I wanted to do an in depth research 😉 ) we were too full to have dinner on the plane.
The internet connection was great, a lot better than the free one you have at the airport terminal. Plus, the lounge has the regular seats and separate work areas if you want to have a private space for work.
And our daughter loved the experience. Especially because we were sitting very close to where the food was!
We found the experience to be worth it and you do get a good return on your investment, mainly if you’re traveling with kids: they can explore the lounge, explore the food options, play in the computer and even make friends with other kids without the parents getting nervous that they will wonder off and get lost.
This is an experience we recommend and we will definitely repeat in the future.
* Disclaimer: although Plaza Premium Lounges offered my daughter a free pass and gave us a discounted rate, the opinions are our own and we were really impressed with the service and return on investment.
