How to get from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini Station

Before going to Rome I knew there was only one option that would make more sense to get from the airport to Roma Termini station: the Leonardo da Vinci Express train.

The cost is $14 Euros per adult and children between 4 and 12 years old travel for free, having one paying adult with them. Children under 4 travel for free.

Just follow the signs at the airport and you will see this booth, where you can buy your tickets:

Once you get your ticket, you will go through these doors:

The staff was really nice and helpful, and made sure to remind you to validate your ticket in these machines:

Don't forget to validate your ticket on the green machines!

If you don’t validate your ticket you will be fined $100 Euros. It is worth taking the time to validate it! 🙂

Trains depart every 30 minutes and the journey to Roma Termini takes about 30-40 minutes. You will see a lot of this on the way:

I found the whole process very straightforward. There were no lines to buy the tickets and the train was just right for everybody; really hassle free and a great way to start off the adventure with kids!
