The Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world, gracing the Parisian skyline since 1889 .
This beautiful structure means different things to different people, but one thing I am sure is the same for everyone: the feeling of amazement that the sight of this wonder of engineering brings to us. One thing I’ve always wanted to do was to visit the Eiffel Tower both during the day and at night, but that seemed like mission impossible in one trip to Paris. So three years after the first time we went during the day we went at night.
Both times we went up the Eiffel Tower we had our daughter with us and it was interesting to see that she was amazed both at 5 and 8 years old equally. Her favorite things about the Eiffel Tower are the views:
Regardless of the time of your visit, the lines will be huge. The first time we went, during the day in July 2010 we waited for about 30 minutes, but in July 2013 closer to 8pm we waited for 1 hour. If you plan ahead you can buy a timed ticket, just make sure to be there for the time your ticket is scheduled.
Even if you have a fear of heights (like me) you will still have an enjoyable visit. The views are breathtaking and that is great to shift your thoughts to what matters:
The show of lights at night is really beautiful, but you will be amazed by the Eiffel Tower either during the day or at night:
Each one of us has many reasons to visit the Eiffel Tower: love of architecture, love of Paris, love of landmarks, love of… love! Just make sure you make time to enjoy this beautiful site by day and by night.
